From early detection for children with developmental problems to support for disabled adults in their later years.
These are some of the recommendations made in the latest Enabling Masterplan 2012-2016, which was submitted to Acting Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sports Chan Chun Sing.
The comprehensive report includes 41 recommendations to the Government aimed at improving the lot of disabled Singaporeans at various stages of their lives, including helping them find employment and improving services such as the public transport system.
Mr Chua Chin Kiat, chairman of the steering committee, said the key themes in the report are of inclusiveness and enablement.
